Barton Community College’s Grandview Plaza location offers OSHA training and a wide range of environmental, health, safety, and emergency services training through the Hazardous Materials & Emergency Services Training Institute (HMESTI). Barton CC is an OSHA Training Institute Education Center, a member of the Great Plains OSHA Education Center (GPOEC) Kansas City Region and provides training services for businesses, industries, governmental agencies, safety professionals, and workers. Customized training can also be developed and delivered to meet the specific needs of an organization. Barton Grandview Plaza is also home to the college’s Hazardous Materials Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Emergency Management/Homeland Security. Additionally, the college offers Emergency Medical Service Training (EMT & Paramedic), CPR training and Respirator Fit Testing. Students can pursue certificates and two-year Associate degrees, with flexible educational and training opportunities designed to support both workforce development and career advancement. Soldiers, retirees, veterans, and family members are encouraged to explore available scholarship opportunities.
