Kansas State University in your community. Extending resources and addressing local community needs with university resources through non-formal, non-credit programs. The Geary County Extension Office promotes programs in 4-H Youth Development; Health, Nutrition, & Safety; Lawn & Garden; Business & Economics; Crops & Livestock; and Home & Family. The office helps to address local community needs. Assistance and information are available for agri-business, horticulture, community beautification, community resource development, home and family living, consumer information, and youth development. The office also provides educational publications, demonstrations, workshops, and consulting services upon request. Geary County Extension programs are supported by County Extension Agents, program coordinators and assistants, a dedicated staff of office professionals, and numerous program volunteers. Additionally, the Extension Office serves as the contact for 4-H programs.
Sponsors: 4-H clubs, Extension Education Unit (EEU) group—adults in the community who meet monthly to discuss ideas for improving the health and well-being of Junction City families.
